St Clements Day at Finch Foundry 19th November
The water wheel powered forge at Sticklepath, a day to celebrate St Clements (patron Saint of Blacksmiths) and a grand day out for the family.
The day is a classic forge-in event wiht a little compettiion to get the forges blowing.
First there is the candlestick, and untimed event as long as you put your entry in by 4pm!
Second is the Great Snail Race, a timed event , quickest snail made that stands up. ( Do snails stand?!?)
A great day supported by The Wessex guild of Blacksmiths and the good work , of amongst many, John Belamy.
